This Gradescope demonstration will focus on helping instructors use handwritten assessments efficiently while maintaining academic integrity in the age of AI. The training is scheduled for September 4, 2026 from 1-2pm via Zoom.

• Using Gradescope to streamline grading of handwritten assessments.
• Supporting authentic assessment practices as faculty increasingly use handwritten work in response to generative AI concerns.
• Reducing grading workload while maintaining consistency and fairness.

Topics Covered

Faculty panelists and a Gradescope specialist will discuss how to:

• Grade handwritten assessments more efficiently and consistently.
• Use AI-assisted answer grouping and flexible rubrics to reduce repetitive grading.
• Coordinate grading across multiple instructors, TAs, or teaching teams.
• Use grading analytics to identify common misconceptions and improve instruction.
